The ones who've gone on ahead of us were imperfect in their human frailty however, all of them were completely commited to spreading the gospel and being the hands and feet of Christ. They continued unflinchingly in the face of adversity and all-out attack. Their countless works, everything they did for the Lord's sake, continue to stand today. MARIA WOODWORTH-ETTER (1844-1924): pioneering Holiness Pentecostal evangelist who helped pave the way for many others, extremely powerful healing anointing, a tiny little woman whose life on earth was ending as Angelus Temple was opening in Los Angeles, the time period of her ministry overlapped somewhat with that of McPherson.
AIMEE SEMPLE MCPHERSON (1890-1944): Pentecostal pioneer, considered "THE" evangelist of the 20th century over Billy Sunday due to her "God loves you" message rather than hellfire and fear, magnificent healing gift, famous for holding "stretcher days" where ambulances would bring in the sick on stretchers and fill the auditoriums during her meetings, built and paid cash for Angelus Temple in Los Angeles in 1923, brilliant artistic and musical creator who had a tremendous flair for drama and the arts
